Description:
The digital topographic map is a United States Geological Survey (USGS) product. The original topographic maps for each county have been scanned and rectified (assigned coordinate information). The collars (the white margins along the sides of the map) have been removed. In addition, all topographic maps for a given county have been tiled together to provide seamless topographic coverage for each locality. The source scale of this product is 1: 4,000. It is available as a Mr. Sid (proprietary format that is “readable” by ArcGIS).
